Bucking Horse Apartments

Russell + Mills Studios developed site plan concepts, entitlement documents and construction documents for the 322 unit Bucking Horse Apartments in Fort Collins. Alternative configurations for 20-24 units as well as duplex units were explored prior to developing consensus on a final plan direction that emphasizes outdoor recreation opportunities that include community gardens, a pool and grilling areas, circulation connectivity, and buffering against the existing railroad line. Graphics that depicted the relationship of the new buildings in relation to existing single family homes were vital in gaining support of the surrounding homeowners. An over all signage plan was development giving the complex a unique identity.
