Ruby Hill Park
Ruby Hill is an 80-acre park in Denver, CO that boasts a well-rounded variety of passive and active recreation amenities. Russell + Mills Studios was hired by the City of Denver Parks and Recreation Department to complete design services for Ruby Hill Park’s Master Plan updates for Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the Park’s construction evolution. During Phase one, Russell + Mills worked with the City to develop a pedestrian oriented environment within the park by creating a perimeter road and parking system, and transforming a primary interior road into a wide pedestrian promenade which links park-goers to all major destinations within the park. Phase two involved updating the 2008 Schematic Design/Master Plan of the park to include a Mountain Bike Park, replacing the pool with a themed splash pad, and the inclusion of a permanent amphitheater structure, the Levitt Pavilion. Russell + Mills Studios performed online and in-person public outreach to ensure the park’s evolution reflected the desires of the community’s needs.
