Colorado State University – Parmelee Hall Renovations
Russell + Mills Studios provided conceptual site design work through construction documents to renovate the site and landscape at Parmelee Hall. Based on the layout of the buildings as well as current student traffic patterns, RMS created several plazas, interconnected pathways and a dining terrace at the main building entry. The Hall boasts rustic Colorado vegetation including robust grasses, mixed with a variety of textures and stones giving warmth to the space. Bike parking has been expanded with the use of permeable paving, allowing for future growth. The University’s edge, a park-like landscape along Laurel Street, has been enhanced through the elimination of bike parking and a service drive which was redundant.
