Linden Street Renovations

Russell + Mills Studios provided urban design and construction documentation services in developing a vision for the renovation of Linden Street in Downtown Fort Collins as a convertible event street. The plan emphasizes pedestrian connectivity and amenities in an effort to create a street condition that connects Old Town Square to the River District. As a flexible festival street, the space is designed as a flush, curbless plaza that can be closed to vehicles during events while maintaining business access if necessary. Patios for adjacent businesses can be expanded if desired and parking is modified from existing diagonal conditions to an overall parallel condition.
